Do you ever see an image of a place and just promise yourself that one day you’ll be there? That is exactly what happened with Nomad Hotel in Xabia. I saw an image of the dining space, with the perfect tones and the crystal blue ocean view and I knew I wanted to stand right there; fast forward a month or so and my birthday was the perfect excuse to fly off to Spain and make that dream a reality!
Nomad Hotel is an indépendant hotel in Xabia (also spelt Javea) on the Eastern coast of Spain. It’s a boutique hotel with 18 rooms, including family rooms with kitchen space like we had. It’s the closest hotel to the coast in all of Costa Blanca, the view from the rooms makes it feel like you’re right above it.
The rooms, oh the rooms! There were three of us on this trip so we decided to book a family room instead of two separate ones. The family rooms come complete with a kitchen area with a full fridge, sink, microwave and even a popcorn machine. The bathroom is a very spacious room with a gorgeous concrete waterfall shower and twin sink unit. The best part of all, the view from the front room, do yourself a favour and sleep with the net open so the orange sunrise will wake you up!
The breakfast was delicious and that bear coffee art was adorable!
The hotel has a separate restaurant so you can eat here when you’re not staying. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, all right on the beach. I was just so obsessed with everything in this space, the decor, the mustard velvet – all of it! They are actually opening a store to sell all these pieces but it wasn’t quite open yet!
The hotel doesn’t end at the rooms, there’s also a rooftop bar, lounge and beautiful jacuzzi. As we were there out of season, the top level with the jacuzzi was under construction but if I can never come back and enjoy that, I absolutely will!
The sunrise at Nomad Hotel is quite unbelievable, I was told that Javea is known as the sunrise of Spain and I can absolutely see why! The rooms have the most perfectly positioned sunrise and it is not something to miss.
Overall our stay at Nomad was fantastic and I’d come back here in a heartbeat. We flew into Alicante airport, hopped on a bus to Javea which took about 2 hours and then walked about 15 minutes to the hotel. The hotel organised our taxi back to the airport and their service was so wonderful.
