Exploring Seven Sisters Cliffs at Sunrise; Eastbourne, Sussex

I recently found myself in Sussex for work and upon checking the weather forecast for the following day, realised it was going to be the most beautiful clear morning. I was staying only 15 minutes from the gorgeous Beachy Head, an area I’d never explored before, so I set my alarm early and headed straight there!

The Seven Sisters Cliffs are a series of chalk cliffs along the coastline, the whole area is part of the South Downs National Park and I started my little exploration at Beachy Head, where you’ll find the lighthouse just tucked below the cliffs. The morning was as clear as I had hoped and I drove across the downs as the sun just tipped above the horizon, luckily making it to the car park to see its full glory.

The coastline here is very beautiful but it’s also a little dangerous due to the chalk in the land, meaning it erodes every year. Do enjoy the views but stay back for you own safety, the view is just as good! I loved my little morning jaunt down here, it was peaceful and still but I would like to come back in the summer when it’s full of life.
