The Cotswolds is a classic English staycation destination but it’s also not renown for affordable stays. My job requires me to be on the road through the week quite often and I’m lucky enough to have a budget to work with for my evening stays, so I always make it my mission to find the nicest place I can find. Here’s my pick of the best places to stay in the Cotswolds within a budget!
This beautiful Inn offers very spacious double rooms, complete with desk, roll top bath and so many cosy amenities. The Inn has a large car park and is nicely located. The room had little brownies waiting for me, a dressing gown and calming music (wonderful!) Downstairs is a lovely restaurant for dinner and a cooked breakfast is included in the price.
The Mason Arms – £69 per night, including breakfast
This cutie pub with rooms is based in a very charming village in the Cotswolds. There’s a small amount of parking but a free village car park just down the road if needs be. The room is cosy and very quaint, with a modern shower, hot drink facilities and downstairs is a lovely cosy pub serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Mollies Motel & Diner – £58 per night
Mollies is very cool, less Cotswold charming but still a very nice budget stay. Part of the Soho Home group, the rooms are very stylish, sleek and well designed. The bed is large and the duvet is beautiful and weighted. Loads of parking and a diner across the road offering breakfast, lunch and diner.
Pear Tree Inn – £98 per night, including breakfast
This Inn is so, so beautiful. Set in a quaint village, there’s loads of parking and the cosy pub offers a hand full of rooms to stay. The rooms are eclectic and well styled, similar to Artist Residence vibe! My room had a lovely bath and shower, desk area and comfy chair. The bathroom comes with Bramley products which smell amazing!
