I’ve always been a creative person and loved painting; as soon as I saw the work by Kurt Jackson I utterly fell in love with it and have been obsessed ever since I studied his work for my A level art project. Jackson was born in Dorset but now resides in Cornwall and practices mixed media in the form of the most fantastic seascapes, moorland views and other scenery.
Jackson is the son of two painters, has a Artist in Residence spot at Glastonbury and supports numerous charities such as Surfers against Sewage, Oxfam and Wateraid. Right down in the picturesque St Just, Jackson has a gallery which is open to the public throughout the year for fans alike. The placement of the gallery is perfect to coincide with the tranquility within some of Jacksons work, through the windows you can see the rolling hills set behind.
I highly recommend a visit to Jackson Foundation Gallery. The exhibitions change throughout the year so keep up to date on the website to ensure you don’t miss out. Find the website here.
